Your Newsletter – February 2021

Welcome to the February edition of your residents’ newsletter, where we have decided to mix things up a bit and focus on providing you with some fun activities for all the family to enjoy.

Open the complete newsletter as a PDF to see what’s in store!

We have had quite a few new sales over the past month or so, with approx 70 homes now occupied, so a very warm welcome to any new residents.

The impact of Covid has made it difficult for us to get to know you. In normal times we would be meeting you and asking you what activities, events and support you would like to see from the CMO in the coming year. We can’t get out to meet you or welcome you to the Chilmington Community Cabin at the moment, so we invite you to write to us.

Lockdown is a difficult time for us all, but some find it more difficult than others, so reaching out and making contact with those in our community is so important. The CMO Team may be able to help too, so get in touch using our contact details. Visit ashford.gov.uk. to find a whole host of local and national services which provide support. This website signposts support for those who need help with food, wellbeing, covid tests, and much more. Equally, if you have some time to give and want to volunteer, then there is also a list of community groups and ways that you can get involved. For more ideas, contact Ashford Volunteer Centre via ashford.vc.org.uk.

Your parish council is very active in the Great Chart with Singleton area. It is worth visiting their website to see what they have to offer. greatchartsingleton-pc.gov.uk

So, in this newsletter, we have tried to provide a bit of fun for everyone of all ages. Some of the answers to the crossword are on the newsletter (linked above) whilst the remaining answers, along with those of the other two puzzles, can be found here on the CMO’s website. If you get stuck or just want to see the completed Wordsearch and Crossword, scroll to the bottom of this message. Have fun!

Feeling a little reflective on the past year and how different it is to how we wanted our first year working with residents to be, I am reminded that spring is on its way and better times are coming. We will get to meet you soon and put on activities and events for you all to enjoy. Take care and stay safe,

SallyAnne
