Chilmington Green Update

We are aware that administrators have been appointed to Hodson Developments (Ashford) Ltd and four associated companies connected with the Chilmington Green development. This does not affect any other developers involved with the site, in particular Hodson Developments (CG THREE) Ltd (the “Housing Developer”), but also BDW and Jarvis Homes).

Ashford Borough Council is working closely with Kent County Council and is taking legal advice on what this means for the developer’s obligations, including such infrastructure items as improvements to the A28. These obligations are secured through a legal agreement linked to the land, and the Council will continue to do all it can.

We understand this news could cause concerns for residents, so we will provide further updates as and when we find out more.

Brookbanks have been appointed as the administrators’ “Development Partner” and the Council will be looking to work collaboratively with both Brookbanks and the administrators to put in place the necessary foundations to ensure the scheme can be delivered in accordance with the planning consent.

In the meantime, if residents have specific, individual issues such as snagging or defects in their homes, these are to remain personal matters between the resident and their Housing Developer.

Any queries in relations to the areas or entities that have entered administration should be directed to:
